What the hell? Why did you delete everything? >_< Also, why .jpg? It screws up the quality, .png is much better. Also, .zip sucks, .rar is much better, besides, they don't have any difference anyways, only that .rar is FREE.

@Spy

First, he deleted it from the forums cause he has all he needs now anyway, and it's gonna be on meteormods soon so there's no need to waste any more disk space on this.

Second, .zip is free, .rar is free, .7z is free. It all depends on the software.
If people would stop being mislead by the commercial developers, everyone would know that 7zip (free and open source) can extract nearly everything. ;)
And if you can't even extract .zip, you must be a total n00b. :p

EDIT: Also, there really IS a difference between zip and rar. Otherwise it would be totally useless to have a second format which is actually exactly the same :p

the server only uses .jpg images, so I don't want to bother converting 'em

we only serve in .zip formats - some people aren't smart enough to get a .rar extractor, or they don't need one, because they only work with people who use .zip and don't want to gum up their shell with another program

With the tiny files we've got it almost doesn't matter what compression is used. I can see that .rars might be good for huge files, but 1-100kb files need nothing fancy.

Also, I'd prefer we don't discuss stuff here, as it's easier for me to just use it as an upload queue. I hope you don't mind.

I'll delete all this after we're all happy again.. oh, and yeah it's up on meteormods.com now. check it!

@me_mantis[keens]

Thank you! Oh, there's also something else. The Meteor 1 map FieldBattle is by me. In meteormods.com it is "not specified".
The Dark Age is upon us! Quake 2 mapmaker.

The reason nobody uses rar: 7z > rar :D
Pretty much the only reason I use zip, is compatibility mode with dumb people.
