:) James is going to crash the game world with M2.
What about having another party this saturday with the <b>new</b> version of M2? Same time (19.00 UK)?

EDIT 6,22: I just read Shocks post, I'm going too see how M2 Chat works now...

EDIT 6,25: James, you should just register that! Have you tried registering your username first? Then you should be able to register it.

And could you put my map in? I realized that if I would put Quicksilver in mp3 or it, it would be mp3 on some ppl and it on some ppl.

OK, so...

I did not address the random desktop crash bug directly during the development of this version. I must say that it has not crashed lately but that does not really account for much.

YAY! This version is SUPER FAST!
I can't wait to mp this... well offline anyways. I might be able to do m2mp on Christmas eve, but I might be too busy with Christmas related stuff.

I would suggest that you all head over to messenger.yahoo.com, and get the yahoo messenger. Its secure, and easy, and doesn't take forever to connect.
I may have gotten a worm from using the chat anywhere chat program, so I'm a bit hesitant to try that again.

Where we should then meet? I'll be looking around for another chat program and have it a test go.

I havent had any problems with the chat program at all, no long loading times either.

If you cant use it well, IRC is alot better. IM services are poor for group meetings and they are not very accessable to outside sources who might want to join.

IRC, however is simple and "secure" (so is JB's chat program soo...)

YIM is optimised for group chats. Its even got voice activated voice chat that might work ingame.

Have y'all played the mp maps yet? There are some new ones as well as some extra units!

I tried to host an online regestered game, but it didn't work out. Maybe my fw is taking it off. more results soon.

I retried, and I was still not able to get listed on the server list.

I even disabled my fw, and that didn't help.

I checked the maps, they all look great, although the island battle one is abit too big (that new boat ROCKS though), more like somthing you would see on a huge 64 player server.

And BTW, IM servies AFAIK, you can only talk to people individually, and most important, it restricts other people from joining in who are not on the forums, such as some guys from the GH crowd, or from other forums i might speak up about.

Just stick to the chat, or open up an IRC server with "mIRC", easy as pie. Its chatroom-like.

I tried to get that server thingy, where you had to put something in your computers registry or something, but i couldnt find out how to add it. And the server that was on http://www.jbserver.com/GameServers/ isnt there anymore. It was James Head To Head server or something....gone now...

The top link takes you to the page that registers the links to work with Meteor 2.

...nope, still lost....

Ok, i went to the change log, clicked the link, ADN went to Associate Meteor 2 links, and downloaded the thing and got this:

Cannot Import C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\METEOR~1.REG:The specified file is not a registry script. You can import only registry files.

So...im lost...

Ok... all you do is go to this site:

http://www.jbserver.com/GameServers/M2_RegPatch.asp

And click "Create download patch"

Then RUN THE PATCH.

Your done!

The server will only show up on the list if you are litterally running it IN GAME.

Dedicated servers require a server/computer that is runnign the game 24/7 on their server.

EDIT: I see what you mean. I think as long as this thing is in your M2 folder, it should work.

If not, you might have to physcially move the patch into the registry before you "install" it.

Give us more info on your systems and what the errors (if any) say, we cant figure out on how to fix it if we dont have any background info.

Press Start->Run->type in "DXDIAG"->when it opens click on the bottom right button that says "Save"-> Copy/paste EVERYTHING in that save file HERE.

Yes, i know, this topic is about to get really big.

I reccomend you make your own topics with the DXDIAG reports in them.
