Actually this thread contains two map editor errors.

First, when you edit a sprite in the map editor and then back out all of my textures from the orginal base file appeared as the texture before it (lucky I didn't save the map)

Second, for some reason the map editor doesn't like to display an entire texture. It would only display a portion of it and then repeat the texture.

Not sure about the first one, but the second problem might be your texture size being too big.

Actually it occured when I made a texture of 32 x 31. M2 automatically cut the texture and made it only show 32 X 16 repeating. Once I changed it though to 32 x 32 it worked perfectly fine, but even if I made a image like 200 x 200 into 160 x 160, M2 cut the texture so it was 160 x some odd number.

Thanks for that first bug report, thats useful info.

Yes its true that textures should be powers of 2 otherwise stange things may happen. Sometimes even this rule does not apply (on certain aspect ratios).

That was actually Mantis, not me, but the list is

16x16
32x32
64x64
128x128
256x256
512x512
1024x1024
2048x2048
4096x4096
8192x8192
16384x16384
32768x32768
65536x65536
131072x131072
262144x262144
524288x524288
1048576x1048576

Ok maybe not that far, i think it only goes to 1024 or less and stops there. And I used a calculator so those multiples are right lol.

Thanks for the info... now I can implement background images while working with the map editor (just for viewing and ease of work).
