Pushing tha limits, or just wanting to play games that don't exist?

I was playing rtss again, and I've found an interesting bug with static flags

It makes it so that clients have to rejoin the MP game every time they need to activate a sector trigger that sends them to the correct team and spot.
hmm.. maybe I should just make it into a vehicle that you jump inside? (hmm hmm hmm... )

StaticFlags[24] = 138;//Side 1's Starter Sector's ID
StaticFlags[25] = 136;//Side 2's Starter Sector's ID

On the Host computer, the sectors show up as 138 and 136, and are reset properly when needed, but the client computers don't get the idea that the sectors are 138 and 136... the client thinks that the sectors were 10 and 7.

Thus, this means that the client sectors are being loaded or connected to the static flags improperly.

Would this be an easy fix?

Should I try to make the vehicles lead to startpoints instead of sectors?

After some experimenting, I've created a vehicle based system for launching players into their start zones

It simplifies the map making system, so now you only have to set the Mobile command center IDs, and the x&y coords for the player start zones -- although I could change this so you'd just have to set the object id of the unit that is placed in the start point of each team.

Should I make it that simple?

Should I release it now?

Should I incorporate my tracking rockets, mines, and fusion bombs into it?

... If you find enough opponents (heck, even 3 players on 1 server is rare) and Meteor 2 doesn't lag (^^,)

This link is dead. It's only still here because, err... yknow, it's some sort of... memorial.

@petix

I'd love feedback on it - are you normally on irc?

I do rtss on lan with my lil bro (named James =P )

I should probably release the current version, cuz you don't have any problems joining the correct team anymore. It makes it way more fun in mp.

How do you "win?"
