Do you mean the entire screen or the small image of the player?

I thought that it used the player sprite for that image, but is it the correct image for the player character being used for that map?

James, what if in M2 you would make the "you are here"-screen a pcx? Then you would be able to edit it.

A PCX? How would that work? Because the screen is animated, it would probably have to be a sprite.

Maybe if we make the background a PCX and the flashing square a sprite? That might work

if anyone here has played quake 2, you should know how it works??. In quake 2 when u finish a unit a screen flashes up your location.

currently, the "you are here" screen displays where u r in relation to the level. So ud have to get the background spot on exact. How bout making it so u can choose on the you r here screen where u want the flashing icon to be?

Because then you could spawn yourself on a sector or in a place that the creator wouldn't want you do spawn at

well i havent played any of the quake series except a demo of the first one (btw is a good game) but when the second one came out i was a tad upset when the subtitle was "Arenas" How the hell did the quake guy go from saving the 4 dimensions from mutants, zombies, and corrupted soldiers to fighting in a death metal labyrinth? Well I am not completely sure about this you are here picture since it lasts- what? -.75 seconds? And i never use because it always says I'm in the lower right corner even if im not. I just look in the center of the screen and "WAH-LAH" There I be.

Yes, thats a bug. Its for if you start on the edge of the screen, it tells you where you are ;)
